Salary: $83,000 - 139,000 per year Requirements:
- I am seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (preferred studies include Thermodynamics, Hydronics, Psychometrics, Environmental, or Facility Operating) and over 3 years of experience in building systems or operations, or a proven history of performance in Mechanical Systems data collection or building systems operations. Certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (CMVP) are essential.
- Strong computer and analytical skills are required, alongside proven communication abilities (both oral and written), customer service aptitude, and a talent for team collaboration.
- I need a responsible self-starter who can effectively juggle multiple responsibilities and work independently.
- The selected candidate should be able to learn and utilize facility management systems.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
Responsibilities: - I will task you with developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers during the design phase, throughout the construction phase, and for the full duration of the performance guarantee.
- You will own and manage tools and processes to ensure timely and accurate data collection of utility bills or other consumption sources for portfolios of up to $60M in active guarantees, while ensuring M&V costs are within a 3% variance of estimates.
- As assigned, you will be responsible for effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, suppliers, and internal partners to provide support in creating and maintaining medium-sized, complex M&V solutions.
- You will need to collaborate with on-site client staff to ensure operations and maintenance of assets meet contractual terms, proactively identifying issues related to utility bills and energy consumption while solving problems and keeping the performance engineering manager informed.
- Monitoring data gathering systems (remote measurement and verification, NISC web base tool, FPI, etc.) to track energy consumption during different project phases will also fall under your purview.
- Your role will involve developing relationships with suppliers and technical and financial managers at facilities, as well as developing customer baselines or benchmarks when necessary.
- Actively participating in professional organizations and community events to support business objectives will be required.
- You will attend transition meetings with Operations to confirm that project scope, timeline, objectives, and customer requirements have been met, and document the start of the performance period properly.
- By utilizing the Solutions Playbook and other standard JCI development tools, you will perform tasks required for the role.
- Creating and delivering high-quality performance reports that assess cost reductions and compliance with contract specifications will also be your responsibility.
- Participation in internal meetings and customer interactions, including kickoff and ongoing account meetings, will be essential.
- You may lead performance solution presentations for select customers and manage up-to-date records associated with Performance Contracting projects.
- Coordinating and auditing the Guarantee Risk manager database and internal risk management reporting will be part of your duties.
- Assisting the performance engineering consultant in identifying issues or opportunities for improvement will be expected.
- Promoting and completing EPA Green Light/Energy Star applications and ensuring adherence to JCI safety policies will also be necessary.
- Performing other related duties as assigned will be part of your varied responsibilities.

The hiring salary range for this position is between $83,000 and $139,000, determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
