Job Title: Operations CoordinatorJob Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to ensure smooth import and export processes, handle customs clearance efficiently, and maintain high customer satisfaction. This role involves verifying documentation, managing schedules, and overseeing inventory while adhering to government regulations and providing competitive quotes.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure all necessary documents for customs clearance are received and submitted promptly.
+ Monitor clearance status with customs and government agencies, including FDA, USDA, and FWS, and inquire directly if needed.
+ Notify customers of any irregularities, such as arrival delays or customs holds.
+ Coordinate schedules with customers for pickup or delivery.
+ Verify package count upon receipt and re-condition cargos if necessary.
+ Follow up with customers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and pickup.
+ Manage warehouse, cooler, and freezer inventory for storage services.
+ Close files by obtaining vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, and billing according to fee schedules.
+ Stay informed about government import regulations and communicate updates to customers.
+ Regularly correspond with overseas and domestic agents.
+ Provide competitive quotes to customers.
+ Acquire space allocations from airlines based on customer needs, considering arrival times and budgets.
+ Open files and generate Air Waybills based on IATA regulations.
+ Manage schedules and adhere to cargo tender cut-off times.
+ Follow up after tendering and inform customers and agents of any irregularities.
+ Ensure compliance with export regulations and TSA regulations, including screening and known shipper requirements.

Work Environment
The work environment is primarily office-based, with 80% of the time spent in the office and 20% in the warehouse assisting with various administrative tasks. This role offers a direct placement opportunity with a small company that is willing to train and support individuals entering the transportation industry.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
100% paid medical, dental, vision for their employees plus two family members 401k contribution 1 week PTO in their first year

This is a fully onsite position in Los Angeles,CA.
